There's nothing like eating a good ol' hot dog on the Fourth of July. But what about eating 70 dogs (with buns)?
That's the most recent world record, set by Joey "Jaws" Chestnut in 2016, at Nathan's Famous Fourth of July eating competition last year.
Rich Shea, president of Major League Eating, a sports league which oversees competitive eating including the annual throwdown at Nathan's, talks about the impulse behind the sport and the quality of today's athletes.
